Hardis Supply Chain is deploying Hardis SC Network, its collaborative visibility platform, across King Jouet’s company-owned stores. Connected to Hardis WMS, which is used in the central warehouse, the solution enables stores to check delivery compliance, handle claims collaboratively with carriers and calculate the transport service level. Following a successful pilot phase, Hardis SC Network is now used by the retailer’s company-owned stores in France and Switzerland. Deployment in Belgium and Luxembourg is scheduled for completion in September 2026.

Limited visibility into transport service levels

King Jouet is a family-owned group specializing in games and toy retail. The retailer has nearly 400 company-owned and franchised stores. Since 2008, its 42,000 m² central logistics warehouse in Rives, near Grenoble, has been managed using Hardis WMS, which handles both B2B and e-commerce flows simultaneously.

Deliveries to stores are handled by around ten carrier partners, which in turn work with freight forwarders. Without tools to share data among the various stakeholders, King Jouet had no consolidated view of transport service levels.

“Each carrier managed service levels and claims in its own Excel file, making overall monitoring more complex. This created a ‘grey area’ between goods leaving the warehouse and their actual receipt in store,” explains Abdelatif Karali, Product and Supply Director at King Jouet.

Hardis SC Network at the heart of King Jouet’s store operations and transport performance

After reviewing several solutions on the market that did not meet its needs, King Jouet chose the approach proposed by Hardis Supply Chain: developing a mobile application based on the Hardis SC Network platform, itself connected to Hardis WMS in the central warehouse. As store employees were already equipped with handheld devices, the investment offered a compelling balance of cost, functionality and operational benefits.

At this stage, the solution addresses three King Jouet requirements:

  • Digitalizing in-store goods receiving and reporting observed discrepancies, such as the number of pallets actually received versus the number expected, or deviations from the announced delivery date. The transport teams monitor the successful arrival of pallets and intervene when store teams report an issue through the mobile application.
  • Centralized claims management: using the Claim Management solution available on the platform, store employees can create a claim, document it and take photos. The claim is then sent to King Jouet’s logistics and transport teams, as well as to the carriers. An integrated chat enables all stakeholders to communicate and collaborate until the claim has been fully resolved.
  • Real-time tracking of shipments to stores: store teams can see whether pallets have left the warehouse and review their contents in advance.

“Hardis WMS gives us the shipping date, while Hardis SC Network gives us the receipt date. This allows us to calculate service levels overall and by carrier. Dashboards enable us to share results with our carrier partners in real time and identify areas for improvement, and feedback from stores has been very positive,” says Abdelatif Karali.

A phased rollout across Europe

A pilot conducted in around ten stores validated the solution ahead of a phased rollout. Today, the solution is used in all 250 company-owned stores in France and all 19 company-owned stores in Switzerland. Deployment in Belgium and Luxembourg is due to be completed in September 2026.

Looking ahead, King Jouet intends to verify receiving compliance at an even more granular level, covering product references and the number of units ordered by stores from the central warehouse.

“The project carried out with King Jouet demonstrates Hardis SC Network’s ability to support new transactions and capture events not covered by enterprise software such as WMS or TMS solutions: confirmation of receipt by the consignee, claims reporting and mobile inventory management. Our solution meets the need to consolidate data from multiple systems and improve collaboration among all stakeholders in the logistics network,” comments Alban Cocolon, Solutions Manager, Hardis Supply Chain.
