The international technology group Körber is entering into a strategic partnership with the Chinese robotics company Hai Robotics. The partnership allows Körber to offer Hai Robotics’ products as part of their solutions globally. This means particularly the autonomous case handling robots (ACR) from Hai Robotics, which are one of the leaders in the field of storage efficiency and storage density.
The Körber Supply Chain Business Area, as one of the leading integrators of automated intralogistics solutions, is always looking for innovative partners. In addition to its own innovative products, the Körber portfolio also includes products from 3rd party suppliers. This technology-agnostic approach allows the supply chain experts to implement optimal and individual solutions for their customers. The partnership with Hai Robotics is not the first of its kind. Already since 2016 Körber is active as integrator of mobile robotic solutions and has several strategic partnerships in place. Through the partnership with Hai Robotics Körbers position as the leading integrator of robotics systems will be further strengthened.
Hai Robotics was established in 2016, and has more than 1,600 employees around the world. Hai Robotics has acquired over 1500 global patents for core intellectual properties involving positioning, robot control, and warehouse management. As the pioneer in Autonomous Case-handling Robot (ACR) Systems, Hai Robotics is committed to providing flexible, intelligent, scalable, and efficient warehouse automation solutions through robotics technology. As a result, the company is answering to current challenges. Logistics operators are increasingly faced with the need to improve the efficiency of their warehouses. Costs are increasing, labor is scarce, and customers are more and more demanding. At the same time, markets and supply chains are now more than ever unpredictable. These circumstances create the need for flexible automation. In many cases Autonomous Mobile Robots can offer the right combination of flexibility and efficiency.
“The developments in mobile robotic solutions for logistics are following each other very fast. Therefore it is important for Korber to remain searching for new partners. That is the only way we can offer our customers always the best solution for their situation”, says Michiel Veenman, VP Körber Fulfilment solutions. “We believe the solutions from Hai Robotics are sufficiently different from some of the other offerings to make it a good addition to our portfolio.”
With Hai Robotics’s ACR systems, operators can automate their warehouses within very short leadtimes. Warehouse operation efficiency can increase by 3 or 4 times and storage density by 80%-400%. Hai’s solutions have been deployed in 3PL, apparel, e-commerce, electronics, energy, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and several other industries and global brands.
